Operational data
The hosting platform and application may temporarily process ordinary request information needed for security, delivery and fault diagnosis. Abuse protection uses a one-way, salted representation of the requesting IP address and short-lived counters rather than a public user profile.
Aggregate statistics
We may retain aggregate counts such as generator type, dimensions, format, cache hit rate, errors and render time. These statistics are intended for operations and product improvement, not persistent individual tracking.
Consent and optional analytics
Consently is used to present privacy choices, store your consent preference and keep a consent record. On normal HTML pages, it initializes Consent Mode before the Placeholder.photo-specific Google Tag Manager container loads, followed by the Jansma VIP global container. The containers themselves always load, but optional measurement tags run only according to the consent state. With permission, the site-specific container may load Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure aggregate usage and improve the interface. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent use of the generator or public image URLs.
Generator controls, preview content and generated URLs are marked for masking in Clarity recordings. Image and API responses do not contain the banner, Tag Manager or analytics scripts.
Cookies and advertising
See the Placeholder.photo Cookie Policy for categories and preference controls. Personalized advertising and external adserver zones are not active. If advertising requiring consent is enabled later, its tags must remain blocked until the applicable choice has been granted.
